TJ Goodpasture
Director of Development
I love getting to know others who share a passion for hunting and the outdoors lifestyle and help connect them to other people, programs, or businesses that may help them enjoy life or be more successful.
After college, my first real job was as a police officer in Tyler, TX. This is where I began developing skills of problem solving and active listening. I experienced a lot of different situations and all kinds of different personalities during this time that prepared me for many paths to travel down.
After a short 3 years in sales and operations management, I finally found my calling. As an avid outdoorsman, ending up in the world of wildlife conservation fundraising was a perfect fit. As a Regional Director for the National Wild Turkey Federation, I found a passion for raising money to help ensure wild things and wild places are conserved and our hunting heritage is preserved and passed on for all future generations. With NWTF I developed skills in event fundraising, major donor fundraising, volunteer management, customer service, team building, and social media management.
After 5 years with NWTF, I was given an opportunity to be the Director of Development for the Texas Wildlife Association Foundation and am so excited about the direction this organization is headed. We are leading the way in natural resource literacy and education and have a national model for mentored hunting programs 2nd to none.
If you are passionate about wildlife, conservation, and hunting, I challenge you to connect with me and let's visit about ways you can build a legacy to be proud of and help ensure our wild things, wild places, and our hunting lifestyle are around for generations to come!
