Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Dr. Caitlin C. Walker (Dr. C) has worked to develop equitable access to learning and economic flourishing in Texas for over a decade. Her professional experience includes fostering organizational excellence as the Director of Operations & Human Resources of the largest young Latine voter advocacy organization in Texas, leading learning and development as the Director of Education of a rural healthcare system during the onset of COVID-19, and empowering life change as the VP of Program Operations & Experience of the first accredited coding bootcamp in Texas. Additionally, she is the founder of The Generous Genius, LLC where she provides executive coaching, business development advising, and business/people operations consulting and is the founder of DRC Development, LLC where she provides guidance to individuals as they chart their education and career paths and develop their professional and leadership skills.
Dr. C is an award-winning community impact leader for her work as President & Founder of Levántatech, a tech literacy nonprofit aiming to eliminate economic vulnerability for Latinas and ensure a skilled workforce for local communities. In addition to being a founding member of Texas Emerging Leaders (TEL), her previous experiences with TEL notably include designing and executing their 10-month Transformational Leadership Program and serving as its inaugural Chief Operating Officer.
Dr. C holds her clinical doctorate in physical therapy from Texas State University, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and multiple human resource management certifications. She has also completed management and leadership training with Johns Hopkins University and a professional graduate certificate in Learning Design and Technology from Harvard Extension School. Dr. C is continuously learning so that she can best build equity and excellence within communities and organizations and has completed coursework towards a Doctor of Education in Educational Sustainability and is currently pursuing her doctorate in law (JD).
